Where the River Met the Sea: A Glamour Ritual, A Rainbow, and Remembering the Goddess

Where the River Met the Sea: A Glamour Ritual, A Rainbow, and Remembering the Goddess

There are trips that shift your mood—and then there are the ones that shift your soul. This was one of those.

It began at the coast, under the early spring sky, when Aubrey and I arrived in Seaside. Later that afternoon, our soul sister Rosie joined us—and from that moment forward, the whole trip felt like it was wrapped in golden thread. We weren't just there to relax. We came to remember.

It was also the perfect way to begin our Spring Break. I only had one week off from school, but Aubrey’s break had started the week before—so she got an extra 3 days of magic with me, and we soaked up every second of it.

Night One: Glamour, Altars & Ocean Offerings

After arriving and settling in, we walked along the beach and left orange peels for the ocean—an offering for Oshun. The air was soft with intention, and the water felt alive with welcome.

Back at the house, I created a fruit altar and we all built a collective altar in the living room with crystals, shells, and sacred items. We shared a beautiful dinner, then I led a glamour ritual where we enchanted our jewelry with power, beauty, and self-devotion.

Aubrey went to sleep, her energy wrapped in the sweetness of the ritual. Rosie and I stayed up into the night, guided by an acid journey that brought us into soft, deep, soul-stretching conversation. It wasn’t loud or chaotic. It was nourishing. Tender. True.

Day Two: Beauty, Storms & a Hidden Portal

The next morning, the glamour continued—we spent hours doing our hair and makeup with the intention of capturing our radiance by the sea.

We set out for Tunnel Beach for a photoshoot… but the moment we arrived, a storm rolled in and the tide was wild. The beach was completely inaccessible. We couldn't even get out of the car—it was too dangerous.

So, we listened to Spirit and followed a new path. We headed to Depoe Bay and wandered through town until we were called toward a hidden turnoff—somewhere I had driven past many times but never known how to reach. That day, we found it. Through a little forest road, we emerged at a place where the river met the ocean.

A small waterfall greeted us. Shells and rocks lined the shore. Fairy portals seemed to appear everywhere we looked. Aubrey built a tiny altar of oranges and cinnamon sticks on the sand, and two crows flew down to visit us, silent and sacred. We laughed. We breathed. We knew.

This wasn’t just nature. It was a portal. And we had arrived exactly on time.

Day Three: Rainbow Blessings & A Soft Goodbye

We slept long and deep that night, and the next morning we packed up slowly, hearts full. As we were leaving the beach, a rainbow stretched across the sky. A perfect, glowing arc of Spirit saying: Yes. You were seen. You were heard. You were blessed.

Reflections

This journey wasn’t planned down to the minute—it was felt into. It reminded me that we don’t always need control. Sometimes, it’s enough to show up with intention and let the earth guide us.

We brought offerings.
We listened.
We adorned ourselves in devotion.
And in return, the land, sea, and sky opened their arms.

Journal Prompts for You

If your spirit feels stirred by this story, let it lead you:

  • What would it look like to follow beauty as a sacred compass?

  • How does the ocean speak to me when I offer something first?

  • Where have I outgrown the need to plan everything perfectly?

  • What portals are waiting for me when I trust the detour?

This was glamour as devotion.
Magic as memory.
And the waves whispered back: Welcome home.
